Permanent hair removal with the diode laser

Permanent hair removal with laser
In our practice, we offer medical laser treatments for permanent hair removal. The treatment is carried out with a state-of-the-art diode laser that targets the hair roots – effectively, gently and precisely.
Before the first treatment, we conduct a brief consultation in which we analyze your skin and hair type, discuss any contraindications and determine the treatment plan.
Hair laser for acne inversa
The hair laser is also an effective and gentle addition to the treatment of acne inversa (hidradenitis suppurativa). The targeted reduction of hair follicles can sustainably reduce the inflammatory stimulus – particularly in areas such as the armpits, groin or buttocks, which are frequently affected. Studies show that modern laser systems not only slow down the progression of the disease, but can also reduce the frequency of painful flare-ups. The publication by Shipman et al. impressively underlines this effect: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/38769894/
The MeDioStar laser works with two synchronized wavelengths of 810 nm and 940 nm. The 810 nm wavelength targets the melanin in the hair follicle and generates heat through absorption, which destroys the follicle. The 940 nm wavelength acts on the capillaries that supply the follicle with nutrients, thus preventing hair regeneration.
Thanks to integrated 360° cooling, the treatment is generally well tolerated. Several sessions at intervals of 4 to 8 weeks are usually necessary for optimum results.
The area to be depilated should be shaved 24 hours before the treatment, but not waxed or epilated. Direct sunlight or tanning beds should be avoided for at least 7 days before and after the session, as should the use of self-tanning products. After the treatment, a high level of sun protection (SPF 50) is important to avoid skin irritation or pigment shifts.
